Litterpicks 

Upcoming Events

FoSJW have organised litterpicks each Spring and Autumn since March 2021. Equipment is kindly provided by Knutsford Town Council and ANSA on behalf of Cheshire East Council Collect Waste. We welcome volunteers of all ages although children should be accompanied by an adult. We have supported Duke of Edinburgh candidates and can provided records of volunteering. FoSJW is insured and have appropriate risk assessments in place.

Our next litterpick will be held 1pm - 3pm Sunday 12th April 2026.

Woodland Management

On 1st March 2026, 1pm - 4pm we will be cutting back the invasive Snowberry.

 If you would like to be involved meet us at Boothfields entrance at 1pm in rugged clothes, suitable footwear, gloves and ideally eye protection (we will bring some spares. Manual hedge cutters, loppers and cardboard to prevent regrowth are helpful.

Woodland Management

In December 2025, with permission of the landowner we undertook a cutback of the non native and invasive Rhododendron.

AGM

Thank you to everyone who attended our 2025 AGM on 19th November.

Picnic in the Park

Our Tombola and Blind Auction in September raised £373 and we are actively seeking matched funding from a local large employer. Thank you to all the local residents and businesses who donated prizes.

Woodland Nature Walks

We have held three successful nature walks encompassing St John's Wood. St Helena's Church, Longridge Fields and Booths Mere.
